You've got questions?

What will the Weather be like in Bali when we visit?

June in Bali is the dry season, offering warm, sunny days, and comfortable evenings, making it one of the best times to visit. Temperatures typically range from to 24'C - 31'C.

Do I need a visa?
Is Bali safe for tourists?
What currency should I use?
How do I get around Bali?

Yes, Bali is generally safe for tourists, welcoming millions of visitors annually, Risks are similar to any other international destination. Maintain awareness, use reputable transport, keep your personal belongings safe.

Taxi is probably the easiest, always agree the cost before you set off or get in. Lots of taxi's should be around all times of the day in most areas. You can use taxi apps like Grab or Gojek (Gojek also does food delivery like uber/just eat), both are recommended (they work the same as uber) check your app store for them.

The Simple answer is yes, check out he Visa page for more info. You will also need to make sure you have at least 6 months left on your passport.

Currency in Bali is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) currently its around 22,400 IDR to £1, for reference £10 is around 220k IDR, £100 is around 2.4million IDR. (this changes constantly so keep your eye out for good exchange rates)

You can order currency online before you go for delivery, we use Compare Trave money but there are lots of places to compare. you can also take GBP and change at reputable money change places in Bali and you will usually get a better rate.

Cash or Card?

You can use your card in a lot of places. I would however always have cash with you as well. Particularly for smaller local purchases, like markets, transport and any kind of tipping you may want to do (not mandatory). For refernce we will probably have half cash, half on a card.

we also have a Revolut card, its great for using abroad and safe. You can load it up with GBP at home and change currency in the app and get much better rates for exchange. There are some limitations with the card (such as cash withdrawal limits abroad) its safer and cheaper than using your bank card abroad. Speak to Ste if you want more info, they also have lots of offers for new sign ups that can be split so if you want more info shout Ste :).

Transfers to/from the airport?

We would always recommend pre-booking your transfers to and from the airport. There are lots of options available including checking with your Hotel to see if its something they offer or can organise. Depending on when you are flying or staying you may be able to group up for transfer options with other attendees. We will update and co ordinate airport transfer info nearer the time and see if we can connect people together for this. Keep an eye out for a page soon.

For reference a Taxi is around £10 from the airport. Prebooking a transfer is usually a little more expensive but the driver will be there waiting for you and wont leave till you arrive.
